This one took me a little while to get through but it picked up toward the end.
I thought it was a pretty good story with characters I enjoyed.
While I'm not eager to go tell my friends about it I wouldn't not recommend it.

I ended up liking this book more than I expected to.  The storyline was playful and fun.  The characters were well developed and enjoyable.  I don't know why I thought it would take me a while to get through it (purely based on the cover) but I read it quite quickly.
My only complaint was that there was just a little too much description for me in the kissing scenes {Too Much Passion}.  Everything else though was quite clean.
I think I could feel good about recommending this book to others.  I am also interested in reading the rest of the Sons of Somerset series.

I made the mistake of beginning a new book before recording this one so my memory of it is a little fuzzy.  However, what I do remember is that I liked it for the most part.  I think there was an {Uncomfortable Moment} or two and, for me, the kissing was a little bit on the {Too Much Passion} side.
It was a pleasant story though like the rest of the series and I feel that I could recommend it easily.

Continuing on with Martha Keyes' Highland series...
This one was pleasant and about what I was expecting based on the other books.
I did have one complaint...where the other ones didn't suffer from {Too Much Passion} I feel this one did.  It was just a little over the edge for me.
Still a good book and one I would probably feel comfortable recommending :)

A nice second installment in the Tales from the Highlands series by Martha Keyes.
This one did not continue the trend of one swear word per book as that the other two have established.  I am happy to report there was no swearing at all :)
The only thing that bothered me even a little was that I felt at least once that it was bordering on {Too Much Passion}.  I think for most people it would be just fine though :)
My brother and his wife recently found out that I kept this blog.  So they looked it up and started reading.   They got a kick out of some of the explanations of my ratings.  I told them that I just want to know the characters kiss, that it was nice and then move on...and anything beyond that really is TMP :)

I enjoyed this second Highland book from Martha Keyes (although it is the first in this particular series).
Engaging plot, likable characters...overall a really good read.
It's funny though, like in the last book of hers that I read, there was one, mild swear word {Language} so I have kind of a hard time giving it that rating because there was ONLY one.
{Uncomfortable Moments} mostly centered around a marriage of convenience and the bride wanting no "intimacy" in the relationship.
There are three others in this series and I will be interested in reading them and can recommend this book in the mean time.

This story was not lighthearted in the least but it was still enjoyable to read.  There was one swear word :)  {Language} It was early in the book and so I was expecting more but they never came.  There were a few {Uncomfortable Moments} dealing with disease mostly.  Also, the main character's parents were not married and so she deals with that {Backstory} of illegitimacy.
However, I felt like it was a clean, sweet story that I would not have a problem recommending to others.

This was probably my favorite of the three in this series.
Very cute story even if the plot is a bit unbelievable.
I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't feel like this one had {Too Much Passion} like the others.  The only issue I had was that there were several {Uncomfortable Moments}.
I would still be comfortable recommending it though.

Another enjoyable Shakespearian Regency!
This one is based on Much Ado About Nothing.
Again, not knowing the original well, I can't compare the two but I loved the storyline.
There was just a little too much description with the kissing scenes...hence the {Too Much Passion} rating but other than that it was perfectly acceptable.
Looking forward to reading the last installment and will recommend this with a bit of an explanation in the mean time.

I really liked this book.  I didn't know how I would feel about a retelling of Shakespeare, but seeing how I am the uncultured woman that I am, I didn't even know the story of A Midsummer Night's Dream so it was just another regency to me.  I liked how it seemed to have multiple elements going on though...not just one simple storyline.  It was cute, and I feel, well done.
However, there was just a bit {Too Much Passion} and a couple of mildly {Uncomfortable Moments}.
I feel like it was tame enough that I could probably recommend it though and I look forward to reading the next one.

Super sweet story and the first in a series by multiple authors.
The last few chapters made the book for me.  It was good until then, but the resolution of one of the climactic issues was very touching.
This is the first I've read of Martha Keyes but plan on reading more from her and possibly more in this series as well.
Excited to recommend this one to all!
