My Brother's Bride

Could Maybe Recommend

A sweet story but there were some things with which I was uncomfortable...
There was a {Back Story} that involved a rape...(no details), some generally {Uncomfortable Moments} and the descriptions of kissing scenes were too much for me {Too Much Passion}.  With all things considered I would hesitate to recommend this book without an explanation of all of the above.

The Solicitor's Son

It had been such a long time since I had read the other two in this series that I had a hard time placing the secondary characters that should have been familiar to me.
I did enjoy the book though.  The only problem I had with the plot/story line was that it all seemed to be resolved a little too easily...but that happens quite a bit in these books doesn't it?
There was just one or two {Uncomfortable Moments} and the intimate scenes were barely borderline for me {Too Much Passion}.  However, I believe I remember the other two being not so borderline so I was grateful this one was a little more tame.
I feel that I could probably recommend this book without any problem.

I liked this story; how it was written, the plot etc...
There were a couple of scenes where it was definitely more passionate than I am comfortable with {TMP} though :(  If it weren't for that I would easily recommend it to my daughter (since she is now reading every book of this type that she can get her hands on).
If your passion tolerance level is higher than mine then this would be a nice, cute read.  For me however, the kissing is described in too much detail.

(maybe with an explanation)

This is probably the cleanest of the three in the series.
There was maybe just a little {TMP} and I would want to mention that to anyone to whom I recommended it.
I thought it was a cute story line.

The Rise of Miss Notley

*Please read the My Rating System tab above if you are not familiar with its contents.
It explains what my goal is and how I review books.  Thanks!

The first book I have chosen to formally review on my blog is...

This is the second in a series called Tanglewood.

The first book, The Fall of Lord Drayson, was sweet.  I really enjoyed it except for one sentence that I actually crossed out with a sharpie about him wanting to carry her off to a bedroom.  Also, the kisses were described in a bit too much detail for my taste so I gave it a moderate {TMP} rating.

Back to Miss Notley...here is how my rating panned out...

I really enjoyed the story.  Rachael Anderson has a nice style that is easy to read.
The {BS} issue is that a the main character recalls how a woman suggested to him years earlier that they have an inappropriate relationship.  He turns her down, thank goodness, but there is that.

Again, there is a bit more description of the intimate moments than I prefer so it received a mild {TMP}.

And the {UM}s were because there is talk about minor characters in the book speculating that there might be an inappropriate relationship occurring between the two main characters.

Overall, a sweet read and I will probably feel comfortable recommending it with a bit of an explanation of the undesirable elements :)
