Could Easily Recommend

This concluding book in The Imposters series was an apt climax...starting off with an attempted murder and ending with quite the literal show!  I enjoyed it.  However, there is definitely a warning for {Subject Matter} as it deals heavily with sexual abuse and men with very loose morals.  But the story is very good and all around well done.  I can easily recommend this book!

It had been a while since I had read the first book in this series but I remember really liking it.

I was a bit confused at first because of the circumstances in the beginning of the book and actually googled what had happened at the end of the first book thinking I had just forgotten something.  It turns out however, the author was super clever in her writing and you don't find out until about a third of the way into the book a critical piece of the main characters' histories and then everything makes sense.

It was a great read and like many of Roseanna White's book has a Christian thread running through it.

The only thing I struggled with was how it ended...an emphasis on a married couple's intimate relationship...always a little disappointing even when it is handled "appropriately".

I am anxious to read the third in the series though and will recommend this emotional second installment :)

Could Recommend

I really like Roseanna White as an author and I believe this is the first of her modern day stories I have read.  I know her more as an historical fiction author.  Even though it's not my usual genre I still enjoyed it.  It was very clean and had Christian undertones.  The only reason I didn't rate it G is because of a backstory we find out about.  It was a pretty quick read and easy to pick up.  I could recommend it without a problem.

This wasn't my favorite of the Codebreaker series but it was still a good book!

Some heavy {Subject Matter} including death, a past murder, and implied immorality between 2 side characters made it feel like a strong PG.  However, as this author handles things, it is tasteful and faith always plays a part in the story.

It is very recommendable but again, in my opinion, not the strongest book in the series.

The thing that most stands out about this book for me is the completely unpredictable plot!

This is nothing like I've ever read before :)

Fun, full of mystery and things you don't expect...this is a story with it all.

I don't recall anything objectionable so I am going to proclaim it clean too :)

I will be recommending this one and anxiously look forward to reading the rest of the series!

I am a fan of Roseanna M White.  I have really enjoyed her other series that I have read.

However, this one was a bit hard for me to get through.  It was long and didn't hold my attention like I expected it to.  The plot was fine...the characters enjoyable...but for some reason it just didn't draw me in like I had hoped. 

There was nothing objectionable that I can recall.

Another complaint that I will mention is that there were a lot of characters and the mystery itself was a bit involved.  Whenever I'm reading a book and I have to stop and think about who someone is because I can't keep everyone straight, it's a bit of a turnoff for me.  I didn't follow the resolution of the mystery all that well.  Granted, it might have been because I was a bit checked out of the book by the time it came around.

Overall, I could recommend this book because I can't recall anything offensive but I don't know that I would recommend based off of my experience.

Probably Wouldn't Feel Good About Recommending

This one was a tough one for me.  I love these latest books by Roseanna White but this one pushed the limits a bit for me.  All the issues I had with the story dealt with {Immorality}.  At the very beginning of the book there is a marriage that HAS to take place.  Also, one of the villains is a mistress and there is some dwelling on that point.  It also refers to the lifestyle that some of the servicemen led in the war and that is a key factor in the plot.  With all of this going on, there is also much reference to God and His healing and redemptive power...so, all of the {IM} was somewhat counteracted but it still bothered me.

What a talented author though.  Her stories are thoroughly engaging and well written.

I think I would have a hard time recommending this book because of the {IM} issues, but if you do read it, I think you will really like it :)

Since this book carries on with characters from the Shadows over England series, I just assumed it was part of the same series but no, this novel is the first in a new series called The Codebreakers!

I'm super excited!

Margot De Wilde has fascinated me since we first met her in book 2 of Shadows over England.

I was eagerly awaiting the release of this book and it was well worth the wait!

SUPER clean!  There were maybe just a couple of very mild (Uncomfortable Moments} but very easily recommendable!

I loved how everything came together in the story and I also loved the characters...especially Margot.

Such a great novel and I'm so looking forward to the rest of the series!

In between installments, I had forgotten how much I was enjoying this series!

So well written and the characters are very lovable.  It's amazing how well she gets you to liking this ragtag bunch of thieves.  It was fun finding out about Barclay's story and it ended up being surprisingly poignant at times.  There was just one moment where I would put the {TMP} label and it wasn't terrible, but worth mentioning I think.

Very interesting...very different sort of story...and I loved it!

I thought this was a nice sequel to A Name Unknown.

However, I think I liked the characters better in the first book...especially the main man.

I think in this book, I actually enjoyed a secondary character (his little sister) more than the main ones.  Still a great read though.

The {BSt} is just that the main male character used to be a bit of a playboy and it refers to that a little...nothing too explicit though.

I debated whether or not I should even put in {TMP?} because it was so slight.

#3 is supposed to come out later this year and I'll be excited to read it!

I really can't remember anything objectionable in this book!

About the first half of the book was a bit slow for me but then I really got into it.

I often get annoyed when an author adds too much emotion and thoughts from the characters but I felt so drawn into the turmoil inside of them that I was not bothered by it at all.

I loved the sweet relationship between the two main characters.  The main man was quite endearing!

I'm excited to read the next installment in the series.
