All Hearts Come Home for Christmas
***1/2
PG
{a little TMP}
Recommendable
I like these short story compilations for Christmas.
For some reason it's easier for me to get through a book like this, as opposed to a full novel, when there's a lot of other things going on outside of my literary interests.
That being said, I have different critiques for the different stories so I will try and be brief.
Sarah Eden's was lovely as always! No complaints.
I don't think I had ever read Anita Stansfield before...I must say though that of the four this was the hardest for me to get through. The story was kind of cheesy for me (I know, most of these stories are, but this one more so) and it was the most boring to me as well. There seemed to be too much explaining of what was going on and not enough dialogue.
Esther Hatch's was pretty good but I felt like there was just a little bit {Too Much Passion} at one point. But also, I felt like this one had the best plot of the four.
Joanna Barkers was cute and sweet with no complaints either.
I could recommend this book as a lighthearted Christmas read to anyone!

Miss Adeline's Match
***1/2
PG
{UM} a tiny bit {TMP}
Recommendable
What I think I liked most about this story was that the heroine was not perfect. She makes a poor decision and she suffers the consequences. I was miserable right along with her for a while there...
There was only one slightly {Uncomfortable Moment} and the kissing scenes were just a little too much for me {Too Much Passion}...
but, good characters, pretty good plot and a story that I could recommend.

The Truth About Miss Ashbourne
****
PG
{just a little TMP}
Easily Recommend
Cute, sweet, fluffy...all of the above with just a touch of {Too Much Passion}...not bad but more than I was comfortable with. I could still recommend the book though as there was nothing else with which I had a problem.
Not a lot of depth, but a nice, light read.
