The Nature of a Lady

I am a fan of Roseanna M White.  I have really enjoyed her other series that I have read.
However, this one was a bit hard for me to get through.  It was long and didn't hold my attention like I expected it to.  The plot was fine...the characters enjoyable...but for some reason it just didn't draw me in like I had hoped.
There was nothing objectionable that I can recall.
Another complaint that I will mention is that there were a lot of characters and the mystery itself was a bit involved.  Whenever I'm reading a book and I have to stop and think about who someone is because I can't keep everyone straight, it's a bit of a turnoff for me.  I didn't follow the resolution of the mystery all that well.  Granted, it might have been because I was a bit checked out of the book by the time it came around.
Overall, I could recommend this book because I can't recall anything offensive but I don't know that I would recommend based off of my experience.

This was a bit of a change of pace for me.
I bought this book years ago and had it hiding away in my closet in a pile of second hand books to read.
I recently pulled it out and decided to give it a try.
It is a sweet story of a budding, mature (meaning the main characters are more mature) romance between a retired dutch farmer and a New York piano teacher.
It was a little bit slow for me but very clean so I can recommend it without hesitation.

Once again, I unknowingly wandered into the middle of a series :)
How could I resist this cover though?
I believe this is the first I have ever read of Paige Edwards...but it won't be the last.  I especially want to read the two books leading up to this one.
My only complaint was that, for my taste, there was just the tiniest bit of {Too Much Passion}.  Just kind of borderline in the kissing descriptions.
However, the plot and characters were great!
I feel like I could easily recommend this book to others looking for a clean, romantic suspense.

Maybe Recommend

This was a very interesting book.  It definitely has a unique plot!  It started a little slow but I knew there were going to be some mysterious things happen so I pushed through and was rewarded.  I would say this is probably more of a Young Adult book...maybe I just feel that because I think I got it at a school book fair though :)
The only thing that really bothered me was a secondary character that repeatedly took the name of the Lord in vain.  If not for that I would easily recommend this book.
It sets you up for the sequel which I admit, am a bit tempted to read...I just hope that same, blasphemous character is not in it :)

Whole Heartedly Recommend

This is the sequel to Lady of Bolton Hill and in my opinion it is even better!
I love this book!
It has adventure, tension, a tender love story and intrigue!
Elizabeth Camden truly knows how to tell a good story.
There are only a couple of slightly {Uncomfortable Moments} that I noticed but super clean and recommend friendly.
It has been years since I first read it and reading it a second time did not disappoint...such a fantastic book!

I actually reread a book!
It is a rare thing :)
This was one of my earliest historical fictions that I read when I really started getting into my motherhood reading phase :)  This was also before I started book blogging so now I have the opportunity to actually write a review.
I love Elizabeth Camden!  She always has depth in her stories which I really appreciate.
In this one there is just a little bit {Too Much Passion} for me and her {Subject Matter} can get kind of heavy.  Also, the second time through I felt like character transformation was a little bit unrealistic but I still love the book :)
I can feel good about recommending this book...and there's a sequel :)

Could Recommend But Probably Won't

A respected author highly recommended this book so I gave it a try.
I must not be very sophisticated in my literary taste because I struggled to see the draw.
It was kind of interesting but didn't make a whole lot of sense to me.
There was a touch of fantasy/magic/otherworldliness spread throughout.
It just seemed a bit odd and I didn't love it.  I don't know how else to put it.
I could recommend it based on cleanliness but probably won't based on my lack of appreciation for the story.
