The Duke Meets His Match

Probably Wouldn't Recommend

I liked this story and its characters but had some issues with the writing.  I should had expected that since I recall having similar feelings about Karen Tuft's previous books.
There were multiple {Uncomfortable Moments} mostly because of her frequent reference to bosoms!  Also, I never like it when books end with the wedding night...no matter how innocent it may be.
I also felt like her description of their kissing was more than I needed. {Too Much Passion}
Truly, it was a cute story but because of the things mentioned above I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending this to a friend.

Another great suspense from Paige Edwards.
It was a little slow for me at times but overall I really enjoyed it.
I gave it the {Violence} rating because the villain is quite evil and there's quite a bit of killing.
Also, the descriptions of the intimate moments are just a little too much for me {Too Much Passion}...obviously not to the point that I wouldn't recommend it but it was enough to bother me a bit.
Looking forward to the rest of the series!

I enjoyed this book and had no objections to content.
It was just a little bit slow but not enough to deter me.
I will be anxious to read the next book in the series.

Marilla of Green Gables

Will Recommend

Let me start with a couple of things that I felt were not super appropriate in the book...
There was one scene where I felt it was just a little strong on the passion {Too Much Passion}...especially for a scene between two teenagers.  There is also one reference to two older adults who are not married but (I felt) it hinted at them having an intimate relationship.
The only other thing that I didn't LOVE about the book, which is purely personal preference, was that it dealt with the politics of the time.
Other than these things, I did LOVE this book!
I felt Sarah McCoy did a fabulous job of telling Marilla's story!
I thought she set the story up perfectly for Anne to join Marilla and Matthew at Green Gables.
I didn't think I would have closure with what happens with John Blythe, because we all know they don't end up together, but I did feel content with how things sat between them by the end of the book.
I thought the writing was in keeping with Montgomery's and therefore, I felt like it truly was the beginning of the Green Gables story we all know and love.
Beautifully done Sarah McCoy!
Even though I did have a couple of complaints about the content, I feel like I can still recommend this lovely book!

Could Probably Recommend

I was super excited for this one and had high expectations.
I was a bit disappointed but not terribly so.
Towards the end I did feel that there was just a little bit {Too Much Passion} for me.
Overall, I felt like I could tell this was her debut novel.  It seemed a little bit disjointed and choppy.  There were a few times I had to go back and reread something to try and make sense of it.
Overall though, it was a cute story and I enjoyed it.
Even with the {TMP} for me, I feel that I could recommend this book.
I am hoping she writes more books and hopefully they improve in how well they flow.

This was a good, sweet book as all of Sarah Eden's are.
However, of her books, this wasn't one of my very favorites.
I don't know if it was just the mood I was in while reading or what because I can't pinpoint anything specific as to why I feel that way.
It is definitely worth a read and very recommendable though!

A Revolution of Hearts

***

PG (there is a murder)

Could Recommend but Probably Won't

I had no problems with this book morally, however, I did find it kind of hard to get into and a challenge to keep track of all of the characters.  It just didn't seem to flow for me and following the storyline with so many different names floating around made me not love the book.

I could recommend this book based on cleanliness but probably won't since it was not a favorite.
