The Highwayman's Letter

Would Probably Recommend

I ended up liking this book more than I expected to.  The storyline was playful and fun.  The characters were well developed and enjoyable.  I don't know why I thought it would take me a while to get through it (purely based on the cover) but I read it quite quickly.
My only complaint was that there was just a little too much description for me in the kissing scenes {Too Much Passion}.  Everything else though was quite clean.
I think I could feel good about recommending this book to others.  I am also interested in reading the rest of the Sons of Somerset series.

Will Recommend

I have always loved this story but have never read the book.  Recently I had a hankering to do so.
I loved it!
Now, there was a little bit of {Language} and not just offensive language but extremely flowery language.  At times I didn't quite catch what Ms Bronte was trying to convey but I enjoyed the antique wordage anyway.  I reveled in the classic tale and the dark storyline.
Mr Rochester also has a bit of a wild past {Backstory} but changes his ways and Jane is steadfast in her morals and is ultimately rewarded.
This makes me want to go read some other classics!

Could Recommend

This was a fine book.  The only problem was I felt like it was so focused on the love story...like overly so.  It was a little too sappy for me.  I don't remember feeling like the first book in the series was like that but as always, it could depend on my mood/state of mind while reading.
It was very clean...I don't think there was anything in it that I objected to other than just too much flowery love talk :)
I will be interested to read the next one coming out in 5 or 6 months but in the meantime I don't think I will be recommending this one only because it didn't really hold my interest.

I really enjoyed this next installment in the Presley-Coombes series!
It was different and not as predictable as they sometimes can be.
I liked the characters a lot!
There may have been a very mild {Uncomfortable Moment} or two but not bad.
I would have no problem recommending this romantic suspense to anyone!

So, I accidentally read the third book in this collection a while ago without realizing it was part of a series.
I was happy to find there were more like it though and I enjoyed this opening novel in the Presley Coombs books.
Modern day, clean romantic suspense has become a favorite genre of mine so I appreciate Paige Edwards contributions.
I did find a few things to be mildly uncomfortable {Uncomfortable Moments} but not enough to deter me from recommending this book.
The fact that these books are set in the United Kingdom is icing on the cake!!!

Probably Wouldn't Recommend

I liked this story and its characters but had some issues with the writing.  I should had expected that since I recall having similar feelings about Karen Tuft's previous books.
There were multiple {Uncomfortable Moments} mostly because of her frequent reference to bosoms!  Also, I never like it when books end with the wedding night...no matter how innocent it may be.
I also felt like her description of their kissing was more than I needed. {Too Much Passion}
Truly, it was a cute story but because of the things mentioned above I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending this to a friend.

Another great suspense from Paige Edwards.
It was a little slow for me at times but overall I really enjoyed it.
I gave it the {Violence} rating because the villain is quite evil and there's quite a bit of killing.
Also, the descriptions of the intimate moments are just a little too much for me {Too Much Passion}...obviously not to the point that I wouldn't recommend it but it was enough to bother me a bit.
Looking forward to the rest of the series!
