A Foolish Heart

Could Probably Recommend

I really liked this book.  I didn't know how I would feel about a retelling of Shakespeare, but seeing how I am the uncultured woman that I am, I didn't even know the story of A Midsummer Night's Dream so it was just another regency to me.  I liked how it seemed to have multiple elements going on though...not just one simple storyline.  It was cute, and I feel, well done.
However, there was just a bit {Too Much Passion} and a couple of mildly {Uncomfortable Moments}.
I feel like it was tame enough that I could probably recommend it though and I look forward to reading the next one.

Could Maybe Recommend

There was some depth to this story...different facets that were interesting...even a little bit of a mystery.
However, there was also {Too Much Passion} for my taste.  Just too descriptive with the kissing.
Also, there was a {Back Story} with a bit of an inappropriate relationship that you find out about at the end of the book.
Good story, good characters but it did have a couple of counts against it in my opinion so I would have a hard time giving it my complete stamp of approval and recommending it.

The Masked Baron

Easily Recommendable

When I started this book I kind of rolled my eyes feeling like I was reading another retelling of Beauty and the Beast.  I was kind of frustrated but I pushed through.  It ended up being better than I expected.  There were some things about the writing here and there that kind of bugged but there wasn't anything offensive that I can think of...which was very nice.  There were some cute moments between the lead characters, although, the storyline seemed a little fantastical and cliche assumptions were made by the leading lady toward the end of the book.  Overall it was a pleasant read though.
Based solely on the content, I could recommend it without hesitation.

Could Recommend

I didn't know what to expect from this book but really wanted it to be good.
There are definite sections to the story and I preferred the beginning and middle to the end although it all wrapped up nicely at the conclusion.
There were a few {Uncomfortable Moments}, several instances of the Lord's name used but not necessarily in vain {Language?} and a brief description of the aftermath of a murder {Violence}.
Interesting story with great characters although I felt like the romance was a little too neat and easy (I don't know if that makes sense but that part just didn't work that well for me).
Altogether though, it was a good book and one that I would recommend!

Murder at the Mousetrap

Would Not Recommend

I had downloaded this on my kindle quite a while ago when it was a free offering and hoped that one day when I had a chance to read it that it would prove to be a clean murder mystery and a series that I could pursue.
It was not terribly offensive but enough so that I will not be reading any more of the series :(
There was a bit of {Language}...probably 6 or 7 incidents (including what would be considered mild swear words and also taking the name of God in vain)
There were just a couple of {Uncomfortable Moments} and I don't think I usually categorize the topic of "affairs" in {Subject Matter} but I wasn't sure where else to put it.  Sadly, it seems that always has to play a role in suspecting murderers.
I did like the main characters and it was short and pretty quick to the point, which I don't mind in a mystery, but I'm sad that I can't recommend it.

Probably Recommend

I thought this was a really cute book...fun plot and lovable/believable characters.
There was just a little bit {Too Much Passion} for me toward the end...nothing really inappropriate...just too much description.  I think if it weren't for that I would have given it a 4.5 star rating...which is very rare for me.  It was just really a fun book in my opinion and I will probably recommend it with a bit of an explanation about the {TMP} :)

***(I am annoyed with Blogger right now...have been having problems with them lately so please forgive any weird formatting that I haven't been able to fix.)

I enjoyed this book.
It started a little slow for me but toward the middle it picked up and by the end I was totally into it.  It was super clean and a sweet story.
I will happily recommend this book to anyone!

Could Recommend But Probably Won't

I was in between books and needed something to read so I pulled this out from my stack of cast off books that I have collected from various places.
It was fine...didn't grab me...kind of cheesy...but fine :)
There were just a couple of {Uncomfortable Moments} but that was all.  I could recommend this book because it was super clean but I didn't love it so I probably won't.
