I really enjoyed this book with the exception of a few things...
There were just a couple of {Uncomfortable Moments}...nothing terrible
This is a Civil War story based on true events that occurred at a plantation in Tennessee.
A battle is fought practically in their back yard and so the injured are brought to the home.  There is quite a bit of talk of amputation, death, gangrene, etc. and not always in general terms...it came close to being too much for me a couple of times.  That is why I gave it the {Subject Matter} rating.
The {Language} rating was for times when I couldn't tell if someone was praying or using the Lord's name in another way.  Seeing that it's a Christian book, the author most likely doesn't see it as being in vain, but I wasn't always super comfortable with it.
Then, of course, there was just a bit too much of a description during the kissing scene/s for my comfort level.
However, overall, it tells a powerful story and it is a book I would probably feel comfortable recommending.

This is the fifth in the Branches of Love series and I felt like it was probably the cleanest...the others had a bit too much passion but for me, but this one was fine in that way.  The only thing that I could find against it was a couple of {Uncomfortable Moments}.  I thought the story was very sweet as well...the idea of choosing to love someone is powerful and I felt like Sally Britton did a fine job of basing a story around that concept.
I could recommend this one whole heartedly!

I gave this only three stars because the medieval genre is not my favorite so the setting/time period did not appeal to me as much but the story and characters were likable enough.
There were just a few {Uncomfortable Moments} but not enough to make it unrecommendable.
I really like Julie Daines as an author so I personally hope she doesn't stick with this genre...but I'll read her no matter what (as long as she stays clean :)

So super clean...as always!  Thank you most heartily Sarah Eden!
Loved this book!
I had an emotional connection to it because of a similar medical condition between a main character in the story and a family member of my own so that may be why I was extra drawn to it.  However, even without that connection, it is a lovely book and one that I would very easily recommend.

I liked this story quite a bit.  The characters were well developed and I liked the fact that there were two main storylines going on at the same time.
There were multiple {Uncomfortable Moments}, a couple of different {Back Stories} mentioned, a bit {Too Much Passion} and questionable {Language}...use of the Lord's name in ways that I wasn't super comfortable with but most people would not categorize as 'in vain'.
All of that considered, I am still planning on reading the rest of the series.  None of the above offenses were super disturbing so I might be able to recommend it with an explanation.

First off, I have to say, I'm not a big fan of these types of covers but I was pleasantly surprised by what I found inside.  I really liked Ashtyn Newbold's first couple of books but was somewhat disappointed in her last (Road to Rosewood).  This new series I would describe as delightful.  I would give all three that have been released so far the same rating...some definite {Uncomfortable Moments} and a bit {Too Much Passion} for my taste...a little too descriptive...but not terribly.
I enjoyed the characters, whit, and quaint little setting of Brighton.  I look forward to finishing the last two books in the series when they are available.
If the covers were different I might consider buying them :)
