Lies Jane Austen Told Me

Could Probably Recommend

So there was not any swearing {L}* in this book...but, there were some words that I don't use and that kind of bugged me.
The little bits of intimate moments were just a mite too strong for me {TMP}
The story moved quickly though and it was a fun read :)

Just a bit of {L}...
Overall, it was just kind of confusing/vague/philosophical.
It was not really my style but I would be interested in trying another one of hers to see if it's any different.

I had high expectations for this one because I had heard wonderful things about it.
I think I was only slightly disappointed...
For me, it was a little bit too long.
There were also several {UM} mostly having to do with "womens' assets" and such.
That being said, I really thought the plot was fun!  This is one book that you don't necessarily know the end from the beginning.  It's not as predictable as most (at least for me).  Although, I did figure things out a little bit before I read the conclusion :)
I always seem to enjoy books about World Fairs...they are fascinating!

So for some reason I could not find a review for this one...I must have spaced writing about it after I finished it.  It's a good thing I remember how I felt about it though.

I loved this one!  I had never read anything else by Krista Lynne Jensen or Anita Stansfield but I enjoyed all four stories.
I don't remember anything I didn't like in any of them.
This one is definitely a two thumbs up and I might reread it each Christmas season :)

Not Recommend!

I was so excited to try this one!  My mom loves Russian nesting dolls and she also likes to read so I was hoping this would be a good marriage of the two.
However, I was really disappointed :(

There were some really inappropriate moments {UM} and way too much {L} for my comfort level.
I gave her 3 stars for the plot.  It was quite intriguing but I cannot recommend this book and I won't be reading any more of hers. :(

Where We Belong

This was definitely a different kind of book... which I loved!
The love story is not the main focus in this story.  I found that refreshing.  I also enjoyed the historical and geographical aspects and did not find the religious references overbearing.
To me anyway, it was an inspiring and thoughtful book.

There were just a few slightly {UM}.
There is an illegitimate child in the story and the orphanage director calls him the "b" word (I think only once) but that is the only instance of {L} in the book.
There is also a little bit of a backstory that deals with prostitution so that is why I gave it the back story rating {BSt}

I don't think everyone will love this one because of the reasons I mentioned in the first paragraph but I say "Well Done!" to Ms Austin :)

This was another sweet, clean novel by Sarah Eden!
I had absolutely no problems with it...as is, thankfully, to be expected with this wonderful author!
My daughter has read all of this series now and it is with great anticipation that we await the next installment :)
Thank you Ms. Eden for your dependably clean romances!
