I thoroughly enjoyed these two books!

Love that they are set in Europe, love that they are crime/mystery, love that they are clean!!!

I really didn't have any complaints!

It fascinates me that multiple authors can write a cohesive novel.

Can easily recommend!

Probably Won't Recommend

I really wanted to like this book...I am a big fan of WWII stories...but I really struggled to get through it :(

I think the biggest hangup for me was  that there were so many characters (people that the sisters were trying to rescue) and  I couldn't keep them straight.

I loved the storyline  and the main characters but things didn't move very quickly and it was seriously character overload!

There were just a couple of {Language} instances and one or two {Uncomfortable Moments}...not enough for me to deter readers...but  based on  the rest of my experience I probably won't be recommending this book to anyone.

What is it about Elizabeth Camden?

She is such an amazing writer and I fly through her books!

I also love the turn of the century time period that she usually writes about.

Great plot and characters!

The only thing I feel like I need to mention are some {Uncomfortable Moments} revolving around a past indiscretion of a very minor character.

I can and will very easily recommend this book!

Could Probably Recommend

I will say this,  I felt like this story was more original than most.   I liked the premise and it was well written.

There was just a little bit {Too Much Passion} in a couple of spots and one, very brief {Uncomfortable Moment}. I would have given it four stars had I not had these complaints.

Again, though, interesting and fun plot with enjoyable characters.

I could probably feel comfortable recommending this book.

Could Probably Recommend But Probably Won't

This review will probably be a bit more thorough than usual because I feel there's quite a bit of explaining needed.

I had read an amazing review about this book a while back and mentally noted that I really wanted to read it at some point based on that recommendation.

I went ahead and purchased it and stuck it in my TBR pile.  I was super excited to get to it and started with high anticipation.  It wasn't as exciting as I had expected in the beginning.  I kept thinking things would pick up and get interesting but I was crawling through it without things getting any better.

I did have a couple of things I wanted to make note of for rating purposes.

I gave the rating of {Subject Matter} for a couple of different reasons.  As the author states up front (which I very much appreciated) "The following novel contains depictions of warfare,  war injuries,  disease, miscarriage, kidnapping, off-page sexual assault, executions and implied intimacy between married couples."   That pretty much sums it up.

I did feel that one or two kissing scenes went a little beyond what I prefer so I went ahead and gave it a mild {Too Much Passion}.

For me, the first 2/3 of the book was too much political and warfare detail, and frankly, I couldn't follow it all the time.  However, the last 100 pages took a turn and almost made up for the rest of it.   Things started getting really exciting and dramatic and I sped through to the end.

Overall, I gave it just 2.5 stars because of the slow beginning and middle and probably won't be recommending it either for the same reason. This was very disappointing to me because of the glowing review I had read 😞

Easily Recommend

Westerns aren't my thing necessarily but I do enjoy Sarah Eden no matter what so I have been reading this western series of hers.

I have no complaints...it was clean and cute :)

I could easily recommend this to anyone...even a non-western lover like me.

Could Easily Recommend

The only gripe I have about this story is there is suspicion and talk of an extramarital affair {Subject Matter}.  Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed the book.

I thought I had the bad guy pegged about 1/3 of the way in but was only partially correct.  I kind of like it when my suspicions are wrong :)

Great writing, solid characters and a good plot.

I'm a Natalie Marsh Mystery fan and I would easily recommend this book.
