My Dearest Enemy

I love Jennifer Moore's books but for some reason, I didn't expect to love this one as much...I don't know why.  However, it ended up being one of my favorites of hers.  I was very pleased with the twists and turns it took.  There were a few moments where I was genuinely surprised by the events that took place.  It was definitely not ALL predictable :)
I found the romantic moments just a tiny, tiny bit uncomfortable but not terrible.
Although it is a war story, the blood and gore were handled quite tactfully.
It was kind of interesting reading a book where the Americans are the "enemy" :)...a bit of a paradigm shift.
Definitely worth a read!

  1. Just finished this book tonight, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was interesting to see if from a non-American perspective, and it was a plot that kept me guessing.
I love the cover, except I wish they would stop putting heavy eye makeup on the women that are supposed to be representing the 1800s. Just a personal pet peeve. :)
