This is the second installment in the series "On Devonshire Shores"
I was reminded in the middle of this one, how I had not had great expectations for the first one but ended up pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it.  I had the same experience with this one.
I think Julie Klassen is an excellent writer who can make a very normal family's home life into something I am eager to read about.
Anyway, that being said, I did feel there was just the slightest bit of {Too Much Passion}  That was my only (very minor) complaint though and could easily recommend this book to anyone!
I just wish the next one was being published sooner so I could remember all the characters and storylines going into it.  When there are months in between books I spend the first half struggling to remember everything about the last :(

The thing that most stands out about this book for me is the completely unpredictable plot!
This is nothing like I've ever read before :)
Fun, full of mystery and things you don't expect...this is a story with it all.
I don't recall anything objectionable so I am going to proclaim it clean too :)
I will be recommending this one and anxiously look forward to reading the rest of the series!

I did like that this book had a more intriguing and deep plot than a lot of books set in this period.

It was not all flowers and sunshine.  However, I did feel like the couple of kissing scenes contained a tad {Too Much Passion} for me.  Probably most people would find nothing wrong with them but I would have liked them toned down just a bit.

I could recommend this book.  It wasn't exceptional but it was better than many.
