I have a memory of reading this years ago and pictures in my mind that go with, what I thought was the story. After visiting the rainforest in Washington (which is not the same kind of forest as the Limberlost but put me in mind of it) I had a desire to read it again. Well, let's just say, the whole story was new to me! I didn't remember it at all...and the pictures that I had in my head didn't correlate with the tale either. Anyway, it was not what I expected but it was still a good story and I really can't complain about anything. There were maybe a couple of minor uncomfortable moments but I think they were largely due to the language of the day and how the author described things. If it were written more modernly I think those moments would not be a thing. However, the older writing style also adds greatly to the charm of the book so I'll take it :)
I could easily recommend this to anyone.
